In order to keep competition and fairness at the highest possible level in our league, this rule is being instituted for punishment for failing to set a full weekly lineup.

Note these guidelines with this rule: this applies to players that are on BYE or have been deemed OUT prior to the cutoff to submit a waiver for Sunday games. If a player is announced as OUT before the cutoff to submit a waiver claim, you are responsible for having a replacement player for them in your lineup.

As always, there are life circumstances that can cause issues with this, so each infraction will be looked at on a case-by-case basis. For example, if a player is deemed out Saturday night around 7 PM and you are out with family and did not get a waiver claim in to replace them AND you do not have a player to replace them on your bench, this will likely not be an infraction. But if you have a player OUT in your roster at the start of their game and another player that played on your bench that could have replaced this player, it will certainly be an infraction.

Penalties for not setting a full lineup (per season):

First infraction: a stern warning text from the dreaded and evil commissioner

Second infraction: surrender your next available 1st round pick

Third infraction: removal from the league

These penalties may seem harsh, but there is no reason not to have a full lineup set under very realistic criteria. This rule is instituted now and will be effective for the 2022 season and for every season after.
